Treasury Bills and Gilts - RP Martin have seen increasing investments in Sterling Treasury Bills and Gilts from local authorities, corporates, and Building Societies.
Treasury Bills are zero-coupon eligible debt securities routinely issued by the UK Government at weekly tenders. Maturities are normally for 1,3,or 6 months. The minimum bid size at tender is £500k.
RP Martin clients wishing to purchase Sterling Treasury Bills, either at tender or in the secondary market, need to have access to a Crest or Euroclear account.
Sterling Treasury Bill yields will obviously fluctuate, but at present time they offer a very favourable alternative to cash deposits with the DMO.
Gilts are issued with maturities of normally between 3 and 50 years. They pay interest as a coupon half yearly. They settle in a similar way to Treasury Bills.

Money Market Funds - RP Martin represent twelve of the largest and best performing money market funds in the UK. Individual fund details and performance can be found on the website and we would be delighted to assist you in the application process.
Investment volumes have significantly increased over recent months as the returns consistently out-perform short term deposit rates.

Bonds - RP Martin provide a full pricing and execution service in all fixed rate bonds and floating rate notes.

Demonstration - There is now an animated demonstration facility available to website visitors. This provides a full demonstration of the on-dealing process prior to registration.

Registration - UK Locals now has over 1000 registered users. Due to increased trading volume we have been advised by our compliance department that all users of the system should be approved clients of R P Martin.
As a result of that decision you now need to register as a client of R P Martin to access all areas of the site. We now have two levels of registration:

1. The full dealing membership allows clients to see all the information pages and the dealing system and trade if they wish;

2. The guest membership allows clients to see all the information pages but not access the dealing pages.

The registration process is very simple and only takes a few minutes for guest registration. The dealing registration involves a little more time as software downloads and compliance issues become involved.

The system remains a free service to our clients and with the growing volumes of trading through the system this ensures we maintain the highest levels of compliance and professionalism.
